Swati, in Libra, is the star Arcturus. Its deity is Vayu, the wind, and its symbol a young plant bending in the breeze without breaking. Swati is about independence, flexibility and the freedom to move.

The Moon in Swati gives a diplomatic, adaptable and self-reliant nature, often with a talent for trade, negotiation, travel and anything involving networks and exchange. These people need room to breathe and do best when no one tries to fence them in.

Rahu as lord adds ambition and restlessness. Swati’s lesson is to find a root strong enough to keep it steady while it bends, so that freedom does not become drifting.
