Mrigashira, spanning Taurus and Gemini, is the searching deer. Its stars sit in the head of Orion, and its symbol shows an animal with its nose raised, alert to every scent. The nakshatra is about curiosity, the hunt for something just out of reach and the joy of the search itself.
The Moon here gives a gentle, sociable and inquisitive mind, a love of travel, reading and conversation, and a tendency to keep looking even after finding. Mars as lord adds restlessness and a quick, sometimes nervous energy.
The lesson of Mrigashira is to notice when seeking has become a habit. Its gift is a lifelong freshness of interest; its risk is never feeling settled.
