Rohini, in the heart of Taurus, is the red star Aldebaran, and myth calls it the Moon’s favourite wife. It is the nakshatra of fertility, growth and beauty: rich soil, ripe crops and a cart loaded with goods.
The Moon is exalted in Taurus and especially at home in Rohini, so the placement gives charm, artistic taste, a pleasant voice and a talent for making things grow, whether a garden, a business or a family. Comfort and security matter, and so does being admired.
The shadow of Rohini is attachment. The myth says the Moon’s favouritism toward Rohini made the other wives jealous and brought a curse; the lesson is to enjoy abundance without clinging to it.
