Magha begins Leo and contains Regulus, the royal star. Its name means the mighty, its symbol is a throne, and its deities are the ancestors. Magha is about lineage, heritage and the authority that comes from standing on the shoulders of those who came before.

The Moon in Magha gives dignity, pride and a strong sense of tradition and family name. These people often feel a duty to honour their roots, and others naturally treat them as leaders. Ketu as lord adds a spiritual, detached streak beneath the regal surface.

Magha’s lesson is to wear power lightly. Respect for the past is its strength; arrogance or living only for status is its trap.
