Dhanishta, spanning Capricorn and Aquarius, means the wealthiest. Its deities, the eight Vasus, are the gods of the elements and of abundance, and its symbol is a drum: hollow inside, it makes music when struck. Dhanishta is about rhythm, prosperity and the ability to make things move.
The Moon here gives energy, ambition and a strong sense of timing, with natural talent for music, dance, sport and group work. These people are generous, sociable and good at making and handling resources.
Mars as lord adds courage and drive. The hollow drum hints at Dhanishta’s lesson: success and activity can hide an inner emptiness unless it also makes room for quiet and for close relationships.
